Paula, a 40-year-old mother of three, has been on leave for a while. However, when her leave ends and it's time to return to work, she doesn't feel ready. Her youngest child, Orso, has worn her out, not to mention her other two children. In this situation, Paula and her husband Jerome take in a young girl named Tess into their home. At first glance, Tess seems perfect.
