Cangshan

Cangshan tells the story of a young woman who fled from her husband and past many years ago. While doing housework in Shanghai, she also takes care of her dementia-stricken mother and her rebellious son who is suffering from heartbreak. After experiencing the difficulties of living in a foreign land, she decides to return to her hometown of Cangshan. However, she is shocked when she sees that the name of her hometown has been changed.

In this film, there is an elderly person who forgets the past, a child who questions the future, and a mother who rejects the present. The survival story of these three generations in a foreign land and their search for spiritual freedom are presented to the audience.
