20-year-old Charlie is a finance student who returns to the family farm in Virginia to help her sick mother, Laura. Laura runs a chicken farm and has a unique perspective on life. After a long time, Laura's mother and Charlie's grandmother, Solange, arrives at the farm. When Solange left America, Laura was still a child, so they have seen each other very little. Solange is a French, feminist, and eccentric woman. Now these three different women have to learn to live under the same roof.
