"Libertate" is set during the chaotic and panic-filled days of the revolution that took place in Romania in 1989. Militia Captain Viorel, who tries to survive the siege, is captured on charges of being a terrorist. In this chaotic environment, it's almost impossible to understand who is friend and who is enemy.
