Winding Roads

A young family led by Timo Götz and Salima Oudefel set off from Germany in April 2022 and embark on a journey filled with a series of discoveries and inspiring experiences. They cross various countries, encounter loving people, and enjoy their journey. However, the situation changes when Salima becomes pregnant. They continue their journey and finally reach India to give birth to their child. Unfortunately, this peaceful adventure turns into a nightmare when Indian authorities accuse the family of illegal surrogacy and refuse to let them leave the country. During a ten-month frustrating struggle, the family tries to prove their innocence and find a way out of this deadlock.

This film showcases the strength of family ties, the complexity of bureaucracy, and conflicts between different cultures. Viewers will experience emotional turmoil as they witness the hardships the family faces and the victories they eventually achieve.

The film takes place in a series of different countries starting from Germany, and the most dramatic scenes were shot in India.
