Ariadna goes to Burgos to track the whereabouts of her grandfather who went missing during the Spanish Civil War. There, she finds herself at a mass grave site where her grandfather might be buried. In the process, she learns the story of Antoni Benaiges, her grandfather's teacher before the war. Antoni was a young teacher from Tarragona who inspired his students with an innovative pedagogical method and promised them a sea trip. This story broadens Ariadna's knowledge about her family's past and gives her the opportunity to understand the hardships her grandfather and Antoni faced during the war. The film makes viewers reflect on the power of both war and education. It also tells the story of the impact Antoni left on his students and how it shaped their lives.
