"Fire Bird" tells the story of a theatre dancer who escapes from the shadow of the past and follows her mother to India. Our main character finds herself in a series of strange and dreamlike events while tracking her mother. Masks, puppets, songs; all these revolve around her as the line between reality and theatre blurs. The desire to find her mother drags her to the heart of India and perhaps the depths of her own inner world. This film offers its audience both an emotional journey and encourages a deep inquiry into cultural and personal identity. The film was shot in St. Petersburg and India.
