Will and his pregnant wife Page, who plan to start a new life on a small island off the coast of South Carolina, witness this peaceful community entering a turbulent period. On the first day of his new job as a policeman, Will inadvertently causes the death of a housewife named Deborah. Before they can overcome the shock of the incident, they find millions of dollars in Deborah's house.
