The story of a man tasked with protecting and relocating Norway's gold reserves during the Nazi occupation of Norway.


During World War II, in April 1940, the Nazis occupy Norway. The Norwegian King, government, and the country's gold reserves are the targets of the Germans. In this critical situation, the Finance Minister places his trust in Frederik Haslund, who works as a secretary in the parliament. Frederik, a mere clerk, is given a dangerous task to hide the 50-ton gold reserve in a safe place. Frederik forms a group to keep Norway's gold reserves away from the Germans and is obliged to transport this gold within the country, up to an allied naval convoy. The dramatic escape story of the team, closely tracked by German forces, through the cold Northern landscapes is narrated.

The film impressively presents the terrifying realities of war and the courage people demonstrated to survive. Also, considering that the film is inspired by documented facts and these events hold a significant place in Norwegian history, it is thought that viewers will watch this film with interest.
