Midnight Runaways

At midnight, Renuka kills a policeman and escapes from a brothel in Delhi and takes refuge in a sex worker community in Northern India. Here, she meets Devika, a young girl who has been condemned to prostitution for the rest of her life. A forbidden love story begins between the two. This illicit relationship and search for freedom leads them on a dangerous journey to escape the law and find freedom.

What this story offers to the audience is the fearless search for freedom of two women and the emotional bond that develops in the process. The story offers the audience a powerful portrait of resistance, resilience and hope.
