New Year's Violence
The film tells the story of Alex, a young actress who is sexually assaulted at a New Year's party. Alex, who cannot see the face of the person who committed the attack, causes this situation to worsen her trauma. After this incident, she has to deal with feelings of guilt, disgust and shame for a year. While she tries to express her pain through theater, this situation becomes even more evident, especially in the scenes where she plays the vengeful Medea character. On the other hand, Alex's brother Adrian struggles with the guilt he feels for not being able to protect his sister. What once started as normal sibling conflicts is replaced by much more complex and intense emotions.
The film tells the audience how Alex and Adrian cope with this difficult process and how they continue their lives. Viewers have the opportunity to observe the trauma experienced by the characters and the impact it has on their lives.
The film was shot in Madrid, Spain.
