Religious Obsession

The movie "Religious Obsession" tells the story of a person living with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) associated with religion. Our main character, Ali, is an individual who grew up in a religious family and is firmly attached to his religious beliefs. However, his intense devotion to his religion has been the trigger for his obsessive-compulsive disorder.

The film conveys Ali's daily life, his religious rituals, and his obsession with these rituals to the viewer. Ali lives with the fear that failing to perfectly perform religious rituals will incur God's wrath. This situation reduces his quality of life and negatively affects his social relationships.

The film was shot in many different cities in Turkey. In addition to major cities like Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, filming also took place in smaller cities with dense religious communities.
