"The Legend of the Mermaid" tells the revenge of a woman heroized from an ambitious framework. Migiwa's husband, who lives in a small fishing village, is killed because he opposes the demolition of his village for the construction of a nuclear power plant. Migiwa, who is a pearl hunter herself, is wrongfully blamed for her husband's death. However, Migiwa decides to pursue justice and find her husband's killers to give them the punishment they deserve.
