Rodnina tells the story of a young girl who dedicates her life to figure skating, driven by her interest and passion. Irina, who was sent to figure skating lessons to gain strength and energy on doctor's advice, views this sport as the place where she found her dream and life purpose. With incredible determination and complete devotion, Irina goes to the CSKA figure skating school, where what exactly sets her apart from other athletes emerges: an incredible will and desire for victory.
When the time comes for pair training, where Irina and her partner need to accomplish the impossible to reverse concepts about figure skating and use the most difficult moves in their programs that no one else has done before, Irina faces a new task. Overcoming a series of challenges, from dissatisfaction at the first meeting to complete trust and even romantic interest, the pair embark on the path to their first gold medal.
