Silent Genocide
"Silent Genocide" is a film addressing the impacts of over 100,000 abortions taking place in Spain each year on individuals and society. The film narrates stories of women going through this traumatic process, and volunteers trying to assist these women. One of the main characters of the film is a person who volunteers at a shelter named Refugio Provida. This person and other volunteers strive to support women who encounter difficulties during their pregnancies. The film reminds viewers that women are not alone in this challenging process and there is always hope. The film also includes experiences of women who have had abortions due to family or social pressures, economic or emotional difficulties. The film was shot in various regions of Spain.
