Summer in the Strawberry Field


17-year-old Kaden is forced to work in the local strawberry field during the summer. There, he meets a young man named Luvas and an unexpected relationship begins between them.


"Summer in the Strawberry Field" is set in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The story tells the story of 17-year-old introvert Kaden, who spends a summer in a strawberry field surrounded by older and more experienced field workers. Kaden initially has a hard time fitting in among these workers who look down on him. However, he encounters 18-year-old Luvas, who has been working in the field for a while and seems uninterested at first glance. Underneath Luvas' outgoing demeanor lies a deeper curiosity for Kaden. In this new, unencumbered and sunny environment, the two young men secretly begin to explore their feelings for each other. This mutual interest forces them to confront their own internalized homophobia, shame and sense of belonging. The film tells the story of this emotional journey of the young people and their process of self-discovery.

As viewers follow the story of Kaden and Luvas, they will experience the complexities of love and youth, and the struggle to find and accept their own identities.
