"Ghosts of the Past" centers around the dramatic events experienced by young manga artist Sorya after her mother's death. In the hope of reconnecting with her family and finding a new source of inspiration for her work, Sorya returns to her ancestors' house in Cambodia after her mother's death. She begins to see horrific and bloody visions in the old apartment named Metta from the Khmer Rouge era that she rents. Sorya's terrifying experiences seem to be a leap from the dark events of the past to today. Meanwhile, Sorya encounters secrets hidden from her family and relatives she doesn't know, and realizes that nothing is as it seems. This psychological horror story focuses on a young woman's confrontation with her family history and her carrying the weight of political past, in a way that will attract viewers' attention.
