The Trace of Evil

A thrilling crime and mystery story in Atapuerca, home to the oldest human remains outside Africa.

During a school trip, children at the Archaeological Experimental Center (CAREX) find the body of a young girl in what should have been a Neanderthal grave. The body belongs to Eva Santos from the nearby village of Atapuerca, and she is naked and dead in a fetal position. This is a horrific event that resembles a ritual murder that took place in the same area six years ago. Did the "excavation site killer" manage to escape six years ago?

Throughout the film, viewers will find themselves in deep tension and curiosity as they try to solve this mystery and uncover the terrible truth behind Eva's death. Viewers will learn about archaeology, history and criminal psychology while solving this mysterious murder.

The film was shot in the unique and historical atmosphere of Atapuerca. This transformed the film from just a thriller into a history and archaeology lesson.
