Michele, who has been a teacher in Rome for 40 years, chooses to leave his life in the capital and move to a dying village in Abruzzo National Park. There, he is assigned to a single multi-grade school consisting of children between 7 and 10 years old, named Jurico. With the help of his deputy headmaster Agnese and the students, Michele quickly adapts to his new environment. However, just as everything is going well, they receive news that the school will close in June due to a lack of students. This situation starts a race against time to prevent the school from closing at all costs. The film takes the audience on this magical and challenging journey with Michele and his students.
