Winter in Sokcho


The arrival of a French artist begins to question and change the life of a young Korean girl.


"Winter in Sokcho" narrates the transformation of 23-year-old Soo-Ha's routine life with the arrival of a French artist, Yan Kerrand. As Soo-Ha leads an ordinary life between visits to her mother's fish shop and her relationship with her boyfriend Jun-Oh, Kerrand's arrival causes her to question her own identity and her French father, about whom she knows almost nothing. During this period when the winter freezes the city, Soo-Ha and Kerrand observe and evaluate each other and try to communicate in their own ways, cooking for one and drawing for the other, forming a delicate bond. The film dramatically and emotionally depicts the development of these two characters and their impact on each other.
