A month after his wife's death, Max begins investigating the mysterious disappearance of a young man. At the same time, his daughter Wendie tries to solve a series of strange and frightening events that she experienced with her friends. While Max is tracking a serial killer, he realizes that Wendie is facing an extraordinary situation. What happened is connected to local folk legends and the frightening powers that Wendie has developed. Wendie hides these powers from her father. However, with each step, Max and Wendie get a little closer to each other. They need to become a family again to find the answers.
