Northward
"Northbound" tells the story of six young people growing up in Flower Street. In the late 90s, they spent their naive and youthful years pursuing their ideals north along the river. Then they returned to their hometown along the river. After their victories and failures were in the past, they took root in Flower Street and began to build their hometown. While witnessing the growth journey of these Jiangnan young people, viewers also feel the ups and downs and rebirth of the Grand Canal in the past hundred years. This film offers viewers the opportunity to appreciate a deep Chinese canal culture that has been constantly evolving throughout history.
