Paradis City
"Paradis City" deals with unprecedented discrimination in Swedish society and a situation where society is separated by dangerous areas governed by special laws. The story is about the kidnapping of the Minister of the Interior by masked men at a rally in Paradis City, one of the largest 'no-entry' zones. Upon this situation, special agent Fredrika assigns Emir, a former MMA fighter who is facing a life sentence in prison. The reason Emir accepts this task is to use this opportunity to see his daughter again.
The film offers viewers a tense experience, while also drawing attention to social problems. It offers an in-depth look at issues such as rural and urban discrimination, special laws and polarization in society. In addition, Emir's character stands out as a hero with whom the audience can emotionally connect.
