Shameless tells the story of an alcoholic father, Frank Gallagher, living in Chicago, and his six children. Despite their father's irresponsibility, the children find their own ways to survive and grow up. Their eldest daughter, Fiona, has become the head of the family after being abandoned by their mother. She takes care of her siblings and works various jobs to bring money to the family. Although the Gallagher family is far from a standard family structure, their devotion to each other and their awareness of being a family keep them on their feet.
Shameless offers its viewers a realistic family portrait while also showing how to survive the difficulties of life. Viewers can both laugh and experience emotional moments while watching the events that the Gallagher family goes through.
