Shikyu Renai
Shikyu Renai tells the story of 29-year-old Maki Tomita, who has difficulty expressing her feelings. Maki is a sales assistant for a housing developer and is very successful at her job. However, she has not been able to express her true feelings to her husband during her six-year marriage.
One day, while answering a rude question from her boss, her co-worker Asahi Yamate expresses her discomfort with this situation. Although Yamate seems cold and distant towards Maki, he shows concern for her well-being. This situation further increases Maki's emotional turmoil. Maki's heart is stirred when Yamate unexpectedly kisses her.
Maki's husband Kyoichi Tomita's indifferent and distant behavior towards her and a possible relationship with Miyumi Yorishima, whom Maki admires, complicate matters even more. Shikyu Renai allows viewers to follow Maki's emotional conflicts and complicated relationships. The film was shot in Japan.
