The Rise of the Raven
The Rise of the Raven follows the adventures of Hunyadi Janos up until the Siege of Belgrade in 1456. In this landmark battle, Hunyadi led the Hungarian forces to successfully repel an invasion of the Ottoman Empire. Hunyadi's courage and military skills earned him the nickname 'The White Knight of Christianity'. The series examines Hunyadi's life through conspiracies and political power plays between noble families in Warsaw, Rome, Belgrade and Vienna. Among his strongest allies in life is his life partner Elizabeth Szilagyi.
The film was produced in partnership with BETA Film and the Hungarian National Film Institute.
It is expected to premiere on October 22, 2024.
