Our story begins with the birth of Roland, the youngest child of a large family, in 1963. Roland cannot stand due to a congenital foot disorder. However, his mother Esther, unlike everyone else, promises her son that he will walk like other children and have a wonderful life. After this promise, Esther does everything for her son to walk.
