Fathers and Daughters


In 80's Bilbao, a gymnastics team is participating in a competition in Berlin under their fathers' supervision.


The movie takes place in the Bilbao region, where the working class lived in the late 80s. In this story, a children's rhythmic gymnastics team gets the opportunity to compete in a championship in Berlin. However, in the situation where the mothers cannot accompany their children, the duty falls on the fathers. These fathers seem to show little interest in the trip, the sport, and even their own daughters.

The film examines the relationships between fathers and daughters and how this special situation changes their perspectives on each other. Viewers can observe that the fathers' indifference to their daughters gradually gives way to understanding and love.

The film was shot at various locations in Bilbao and Berlin. Viewers can feel the life of the working class in 80's Bilbao and the championship atmosphere in Berlin.
