Winding Roads

A young family led by Timo Götz and Salima Oudefel sets off from Germany in April 2022 and embarks on a journey filled with discoveries and inspiring experiences. They pass through various countries, meet kind-hearted people, and enjoy their journey. However, the situation changes when Salima becomes pregnant. They continue their journey and finally reach India to give birth to their child. Unfortunately, this peaceful adventure becomes a nightmare when Indian authorities accuse the family of illegal surrogacy and deny them exit from the country. The family struggles to prove their innocence and find a way out of this deadlock for a nerve-wracking ten months.

This film showcases the strength of family bonds, the complexity of bureaucracy, and the conflicts between different cultures. Viewers will experience emotional turmoil as they witness the difficulties the family faces and the victories they achieve in the end.

The film takes place in several different countries starting from Germany, and the most dramatic scenes were shot in India.
